Does it work offline?
Locally supplied or imported standard-chess games can be analysed with the bundled engine offline. Public online imports, installation and purchases need internet.
How do I import a game?
Use PGN or FEN, open or share a file, or choose a provider under Import. Chess.com links may need a username and completion month. For unsupported links, export PGN from the provider and import the file.
Why is a score blank?
A review may have no supported examples of a theme or its analysis may be incomplete. Counts show what was assessed. A handful of moves is not a stable rating of your chess ability.
How fast is analysis?
Speed varies by phone, game and settings. Deeper searches take longer. Cancelled or incomplete analysis is not a completed depth-14 result.
How do I delete data?
Use the library and Settings deletion or cache controls. Export anything you wish to keep first. Clearing app storage or uninstalling can remove local games and reviews. The original provider game is unaffected. There is no ChessReview server account. For support-message deletion, email us; see our privacy policy.
Purchases and refunds
When the paid edition becomes available, Google Play will show the price and process the purchase. Reinstall using the same Google account on a compatible Android device. See Google's reinstall instructions and refund guidance, or contact support about a purchase issue. Statutory consumer rights apply. An Android purchase does not include an Apple edition or cross-store entitlement.
Report a problem
Include your app version, phone model, Android version, steps, expected result and actual result. Say whether analysis completed or was cancelled. A short PGN or FEN may help; remove private names or notes. Never send passwords, payment-card details or signing keys.
